“The total liberation and unification of Africa under an All-African Socialist Government must be the primary objective of all Black revolutionaries throughout the world. It is an objective which, when achieved, will bring about the fulfillment of the aspirations of Africans and people of African descent everywhere. It will at the same time advance the triumph of the international socialist revolution, and the onward progress towards world communism, under which, every society is ordered on the principle of –from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” — Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah

Pan-African Women’s Day 2020 – Part II

Women of MOVE

Pan African Women’s Day 2020 will be a virtual event focusing on the systematic Culture of Violence against African women and girls. We remember Breonna Taylor, Sandra Bland, Justine Uwa and thousands of women who have been killed or brutalized by agents of capitalism and within our own community. No justice is yet to be obtained. We know that healing begins when we commit to destroy the system and changing the culture!

THEME: Resisting and Healing From the Culture of Violence Against Women and Girls

A-AWRU and PAWD collective will honor the Women of the MOVE Organization who survived bombing of their headquarters and decades of imprisonment and will hear first hand their testimony of this systematic violence and their triumph!! Join us live with Sis Ramona Africa, Janine Africa and Jen Africa.
We will also have a panel of activists, organizers and healers who will provide a Sankara analysis and toolkit for healing and revolutionary organizing!!
This event is sponsored by the All African Women’s Revolutionary Union, Krst Unity Center, Per Ankh Khamniversity and Califa Consulting.
Please join us for Pan African Women’s Day August 8th at 11am PDT | 2pm EDT | 6pm GMT on Zoom (Meeting ID 848 7656 1037). We salute the Women of Move who survived the historic bombing of their home and community, the murder of 11 of their comrades and 5 of their children in Philadelphia 35 years ago. Collectively they served over 58 years in prison for fighting for our liberation. 35yrs later they are still resisting!!
With revealing poetry from poet October Blu and on our healing panel Sister Melanie of Vibrations and Still Waters Productions and Dr. Chenzira Kahina of Per Ankh and University of the Virgin Islands St Croix, and Sisters Uma and Sister Victorious Wanjiro Elley will provide healing words, a toolkit (also downloadable) for healing and will inspire and aspire to lift Spirits And CONSCIOUSNESS!
We are building upon the foundation of solidarity and liberation helping and supporting the continuation of the struggle for the Next Generation. Don’t miss it!
