February 9 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Fred Hampton

We’re excited to partner with Building Power for Black New Mexico for a special Black History Month edition of our Pan-African Film Series!

This month we’ll be showing The Murder of Fred Hampton – a film about the life and politics of Black Panther Party Chicago chapter chairman Fred Hampton and his political assassination at the hands of the Chicago Police Department and the FBI.

A free hot lunch will be served at this film screening and as always free childcare will be provided. *Please note that this movie has violent scenes so it may not be appropriate for young children.*

More about the Pan-African Film Series:

Join AAPRP New Mexico on the second Saturday of every month from 2-4 PM for our Pan-African Film Series! Every second Saturday we’re hosting viewings and group discussions of our favorite revolutionary movies about the struggle for African liberation. Snacks and lively discussions will be had!

Come learn more about the AAPRP and the struggle to liberate Africa and African people, make new connections, and raise your consciousness! This series is open to all. $5 suggested donation to support our work but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
